DJ.INC.
(tempo | proton radio)

DJ.INC.Ryan Wofford’s lifelong passion of music has been the driving force in his life since as far back as he can remember. Perhaps it all began on July 3, 1973 while attending an Elvis Presley concert in the comfort of his mother’s womb… Or, perhaps that just explains his affinity for capes?? Either way, after about 6 months of guitar lessons and multiple failed attempts to form post-punk garage bands, such as Love, Lust and the Jealous Postmen, it all culminated in 1996 into his alter-ego, dj.inc.

It is safe to say that dj.inc. has been exposed to and has collected an extensive array of music.
From his musical influences like The Cult, Bauhaus, Joy Division, and The Cure to industrial bands like Front 242, My Life with Thrill Kill Kult, and Nitzer Ebb, its easy to see where his love for gritty, bass-driven music comes from. Hip-hop bands like Digable Planets, Tribe Called Quest, and Big Daddy Kane, along with his stint as acid jazz/ dance buyer for Tower Records, introduced him to the jazzy, funky sounds prevalent in his music.

Inc. loves to perform live. This passion to expose his soul through music is captured in every performance, and has led to the diversity he brings with him to every gig. Whether he’s playing downtempo or funky house at his residencies at Bazzaar Lounge or Apres Diem, or his unique blend of dirty tech house, minimal, and acid at his Tempo parties with partner Christopher Sheehy, Inc.’s style is all his own.

Over the past 10 years, Inc.’s DJ career has led him to share bills with some of the world’s top DJs, such as Paul Van Dyk, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela, Josh Wink, Tyler Stadius, Mazi, Jay Tripwire, John Acquaviva, Garth, Doc Martin, Asad Rizvi, Terry Francis, Meat Katie, FC Kahuna and many more. In a recent interview, James Zabiela touted dj.inc. as one of the “great DJ’s knocking on the doors of recognition”.

Dj.Inc. has recently held residencies at Atlanta's hottest lounge, Bazzaar, where he hosted his "(down)Tempo" parties every other Friday for 3 years, as well as every other Saturday night at Apres Diem for 2 years. Tempo, one of Atlanta's longest running monthly parties, has been a mainstay in the ATL underground scene for over 6 years. He also plays one-offs in various venues throughout Atlanta, the US, and Mexico as well. Ryan & Chris' popular internet radio show "Tempo on ProtonRadio.com" been running strong for over three years, with no signs of slowing down. With plans of launching a new netlabel, as well as some overseas touring, 2008 holds a bright future for Inc.

Regardless of when & where dj.inc. plays, the result is always the same...
